Firstly, a very Merry Christmas to everyone, hope you are all safe and well and enjoying the festivities as best as you can.

With the Boxing Day fixtures right around the corner, I wanted to drop a quick reminder to everyone on how the game is set up to deal with the impact of cancellations:

We were presented with cancelled fixtures as far back as our 2018 Super Rugby competition, writing in the functionality that would eventually serve as a good compromise through both the World Cup, and those fixtures we lost once the Premiership had restarted after our first lockdown.

Any player you have in your squad for whom their team's fixture is cancelled, will be awarded the average score of all those players otherwise playing in the round. This ensures you can field a full team without having to incur penalties to replace those players. For those who have purchased a Bronze Upgrade on the game, cancelled fixtures are denoted by an orange disc next to a player's name. You are at liberty to transfer these players out of your squad if you think another player may accumulate a greater score, but there is no need to do so, and as a result, no need to increase the number of transfers.

Average points for the opening gameweeks as follows:

GW1: 18
GW2: 19
GW3: 19

Please note, that any players you select on your bench will of course earn half of the average points.

Hopefully the above helps allay any fears and everyone can move forwards knowing it's otherwise business as normal.

All the very best as ever, and Merry Christmas to you all.
